I need to let you know the difference, pest control companies that advertise bee removal do not remove the bees LIVE. Honey Bee Rescue Not Pest Control.

Disclaimer, I am only talking about the bee removal business here in Texas, other states have different rules.
Back when I started IRescueBees ( Now, Bee for Life ) there was only Hector Mora and myself providing bee removal services. Now, I keep seeing pest control companies advertising they remove bees.
They started to use the phrase bee removal as a gimmick to trick the public that they have a genuine interest in the welfare of wild honey bees. But, here is how they work it, you get the bee removal pitch over the phone to sell you, then when they show up they claim your bees are killer bees and need to bee killed.
Another secret is no can tell if a colony is a killer bee colony unless a DNA test is done. Texas A&M say only ONE person a year is killed in Texas by bee attacks!
I also have only run into two killer bee colonies since I started my honey bee rescue service, and those were in Eden and San Angelo!
Still, pest control companies want you to believe that all wild honey bee colonies serve no purpose. Yet, Texas A&M tells us that honey bees, wild or managed are beneficial insects and not pest.
The State also considers honey bees as AG, an animal that produces food for humans. That, is what most people call Livestock!
Needless to say, exterminators will not change their ways, too much profit in it. You see, pest control companies see bees as quick profit and kill hundreds of thousands of honey bee colonies every year.
That ain’t helping our current honey bee crisis one little bit. The phrase Bee Removal should mean, to remove honey bees Live and relocating them LIVE.
Until my next RANT have a wonderful week. LOL
